Hello from the 303 Project! As you can see, there has not been any activity since April. Unfortunately, the summer months have not been photographically productive (with the exception of a few outings in May and June). However, as Fall starts to emerge once again (wow that was fast), I am anticipating a resurgence of Commerce City visits. As the first round of photography proved to be very fruitful, I am confident that my scouting will afford me even more compelling imagery.
Here are a few images from early summer that I think are worthy contenders:

My good friend Neil Corman, who owns and operates gallery nrc in NW Denver, allowed me to have a a small exhibition with the opening this past Friday. I prepared 4 images exclusively from The 303 Project, and did a custom framing job that fits the industrial theme of the imagery. By printing on canvas, I was able to mount the sheets directly to pieces of plywood. The finishing touch are four bolts around the edge of the canvas prints, which not only holds the canvas in place, but also reinforces the aforementioned industrial theme of the images. The display will be hanging until the end of April.

It’s officially Spring in Denver!!
An update on the 303 Project: I have not been photographing since February. Part of this is due to the weather, which has been very spring-like (sunny and cloudless), which makes it difficult to photograph the way I like to for this project. I have also had spring fever, which includes spring cleaning and attention to my neglected home. I am in the process of planning out the night photography part of the project, which requires a little bit of strategery (Bushism). Those photos will be showing up on the website soon enough!
The 303 Project will finally be on display for a limited engagement this coming First Friday (April 2) at GALLERY NRC in NW Denver on the Tennyson Street Art Walk! I am preparing 4 images currently for the exhibit. Please stop by if you are out and about on First Friday!

Took away some images from today. I am finding myself revisiting many of the same locations, wondering if I’m showing up on security cameras. I did recently get a new vehicle, so I am hoping this will help dispel any curiosity. . .
Today all images were shot with the 70-200mm telephoto lens; typically I like to shoot with the 50mm f/1.4. I’ll let the images speak for themselves.
